Hey all,
My parents are looking at getting into a full size (1/2 ton) truck soon. I had some thoughts, but figured why not ask the experts here.
Their situation -
1. Retiring soon, do not want repair bills etc
2. Will tow a trailer for camping few times a year, likely in the 5000-7000 lb range I believe
3. I don't think they need all the creature comforts... they told me they 'really want leather seats'
4. They don't drive a ton, last truck is a 2010 dodge dakota with 130,000 kms on it.
Taking all this into account,
I figured a late 2010's Tundra really fits their bill... but would be curious what others think around here. I'm not super deep in the truck world but always seem to hear about problems with Dodge's, Ford ecoboosts, etc. Maybe a GM with a tried and true 5.3 is a good option?
Thanks in advance
