Gondek refused to address this on camera. No one wants to publicly state who made the decision to cancel the fireworks.

Interesting. I heard it was cancelled the other day on the news after the hockey game but didn't stick around to watch. I just assumed the cost or liability insurance was too much... but cancelling them because they are "culturally insensitive"? lololol
