They are replacing with an “enhanced pyrotechnic show”. What is that exactly? Would be kinda cool to see a coordinated drone thing but I doubt thats what it is.

I don't really buy the migratory bird thing. We've had fireworks in every part of the world for 100+ years. PTSD angle maybe. Dogs and young kids get woken up and it can be a bit of an annoyance but its only twice a year and they'll live. You will never please everyone.

EDIT: Does this mean no more NYE fireworks either? Americans would never. They'll blast fireworks at high noon before a college football game or when someone hits a homerun and you can't even see anything except smoke.
