Default Ram 1500 BCM, can’t find one anywhere these days.

So we’ve got a 2013 Ram 1500 Sport that has a dead BCM apparently. The power door locks are inop and now the power windows too apparently. I’ve been trying for months to get a new BCM from Chrysler and now their latest story is it’s discontinued. From what I’ve seen they aren’t repairable either but I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions or contacts I can look into to get this thing replaced or repaired finally so I can get paid for this truck.

    Thanks.

I'm no help, but ya my buddy in his 350z/fairlady has a bcm issue and that's all he's hearing too, he's being told the best workaround is a standalone ecu

From what I know with the Nissan at least, they have to have identical serial numbers and alot of them don't.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Tried it, seems like they are one time use as they won’t program to a new vin.

Essentially yes. I’ve been working on this for 2 months.

That sounds like someone is being lazy. I can't see how they can't reprogram a BCM.

Give Flagship One a call and see what your options might be.

Thanks waiting to hear back from them. Tons and tons of people online having issues with these BCMs it looks like, Chrysler seems to give no fucks currently. I’ve been trying dealers in both Canada and the USA since March to source one.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

It depends, sometimes on some models/years/modules they are a one time installation and cannot have the vin and security information written over.
Apparently on a 2013, you can install the program file into a used bcm. Then will get a vin mismatch code, run a guided function to re-learn vehicle data, then clean the code and learn the security system. 2015 and newer you cannot do this. You will need to find someone with a witech, all programming/information subscriptions. I highly doubt the dealer will install a used module.

Multiple systems talk to each other through many modules and networks, they all share information with each other. You can't just remove a module out of a network and replace it with a stand alone system. You could, but half of the car won't work.
This has been a problem for many years, oe's are making many modules obsolete and used is not a option. The best solution is to get the module repaired. Some times you get the module back fixed, other times they come back more broken. It is the world we live in right now.
