I remember being in Spokane in the late 2000's/early 2010's and we were planning to pass through Sandpoint on the way back home. I was chatting up with a store owner and asking him if I had to worry about any of the KKK going through there and he said he's Jewish and goes up there all the time without any worries. He said it was mostly a problem in the 80's/90's but the communities banded together to get most of that trash out of there.

I pass through there multiple times a year now and haven't experienced anything bad yet.

It's definitely Trump country though.

Yea I figured it was probably old misconception that ppl kept going. It’s beautiful there, thinking of doing a lake vacation rental there next year. People are stupid friendly, had top notch service at every restaurant and hotel on both trips there this summer. Was surprised with that post and ya, probably Reddit gonna Reddit.
