Default Need help, point me in the right direction

I'm waiting on my approval for my permit for my garage. This is what they came back with. Need an engineer to sign off on the slab because it's larger than 24x28.....never heard of this before, can someone point me in the direction of who I can talk to about this?

Is this a Strathmore thing, a county thing, or what?

Take this as you will but in this https://superiorsafetycodes.com/asse...t-handbook.pdf it says anything over 592sq ft needs to be engineered. Which works out to around 24.33 x 24.33

I don't know anyone who does that kind of work. However, if I google "Alberta structural engineer" then there a whole list. Hit the phones Monday morning.

Is this in the design phase, or is this inspection part of a sale process for an existing garage? I'm confused. If it's design, what's the inspector for?

He needs an structural engineer because rules state anything over 592sq ft needs to be signed off on. His slab is over 24x28.

I built a triple garage on my lot a few years ago and had to do the same thing. I can't remember where I originally found his contact info but I used Steve from SMP consulting corp. Here's a link to a recent Kijiji positing i found with contact info.
