Ya I was there too that day. Saturday the water park was insane. The amusement rides lines were typically very short. The worst was the raft ride.
That's exactly how it was for me. You were probably the only other car in the lot with an alberta plate lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Driving the route now. Plan for an hour plus of construction delays. Fires very visible in sparwood.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
Thanks for the heads up. We're heading out tomorrow for Idaho about 9'ishThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Supposed to go camping next weekend west of Kimberley, so here's hoping their fire is under control.

The construction on Hwy 3 is either paused tomorrow or ends at 4pm. BC roads website gives conflicting info. We’re leaving early just in case. Look for Big Blue towing a flat deck
Drove through yesterday (a bit later to avoid the construction - passed through around 8 and there was no delay at all) and the fire is smouldering pretty good, could see lots of orange flames throughout the hill, some of which didn’t look far from town. I bet it looks pretty crazy at night.

She was pretty sporty on way home today, got a good view of the heli dumping water on it.
No construction anywhere from Fernie east
I grew up in Sparwood, crazy to see how close the fires are to a relatively small town. My parents used to own the video store in town behind that Save on Foods.
Will happen eventually in any town that doesn't have a substantial firebreak between the wild forest and the town.
Every forest burns eventually.

We just went to Fernie for the long weekend and pulling into Sparwood and seeing those fires was pretty scary. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
