Well even with an order on my books and literally standing there with my salesman I couldn’t get inside the GX. Lame.
Looked great in person, great size and presence.
Apparently Lexus Calgary have 7 allocations arriving over the next 6 weeks, my name wasn’t in terribly early so none of them are mine. Expecting 45 cars by year end.
Went and looked at the LC, maybe it’s just confirmation bias but I wasn’t feeling it nearly as much.

I asked Lexus of Calgary about more info on the GX and their waiting list is only for current Lexus owners which sucksThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yea my guy told me that today.
No more deposits except for existing clients.
Who knew this thing was basically a GT3RS

The Toyota guy was telling us today that the LC is pre-production and the only one in Canada, which is pretty cool considering there is another show in Quebec who didn't get it.
I liked the GX more than I expected, the front is far less predator mouth than the other SUVs and overall has a great form to it. Disappointing that not even the windows were open though.
So many kids destroying vehicles today, Porsche and LR were no expectation.
The big surprise was the Corolla GR, that thing was pretty slick.

The GX is pre prod too, hasn’t stopped every YouTube journalist under the sun from getting to hoon dozens of them around Arizona and get lent out for longer term tests.

I agree that the presence of the GX was much stronger.. not sure if it was the stance being on the rock or just the bigger wheel and tire setup. Granted the booths werent side by side, but the LC even looked smaller. I really dont care for the round headlights of the LC, and now finding out that the LC requires premium has me a bit hesitant..This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I know people seem to really want the hybrid… But I would also much prefer the very capable V6. And now that it’s all but confirmed that the hybrid GX will have the 4 cyl like the LC that makes getting an early GX all the easier.
Premium product aside, I just like the GX product better.

Call me crazy, but if an additional $500/yr for fuel (premium vs. regular) is going to break the bank, maybe a new $75k SUV is not the play. I can't fathom why people care about this so much.
Or why you want a tarted up 4cyl hybrid in your off-roader for the same reason. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The LC 1958 headlights are nice but I wouldn't get it in the blue colorway because it'll just be an FJ Cruiser
The GX was amazing. Stole it from the LC — and I found out the V6 can tow 9000lbs.
An suv (aside from the Jag SVR) hasn’t tickled my fancy in that price range in a while.
