91k OTD to get a Toyota with leather.
The GX is somehow looking like a deal relatively speaking.

If you are going to spend over 100K plus (On Lexus) why not look at German.
I don't get it.
Which German, the E-class all-terrain wagon?

Because those offroad as well as the aforementioned E-Class wagon. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Whether or not the vehicle will acktchually go offroad is moot, so don't go down that path. The fact is, if someone wants a luxury offroader, the only german that can compete with the GX is a G wagen, which costs what, 50-200% more depending on trim?
haha I see that preemptively removed the * comment. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you 'Truly' want a Offroad capable luxury vehicle then there is LR. I know it is not German.
The Point I am trying to make is at this Price point there are other options.
If I had $100k to spend on an SUV, this Pavement Cruiser or it's Lexus cousin wouldn't be at the top of my list. I wouldn't even visit the dealer in solidarity.
People were spending more than that on a Bronco… sooo
You could cross shop an F150 or a tesla too. The comparison makes no sense. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

SUV to SUV Comparison. - Same Vehicle class I gave the options.
My apologies.
Carry on
For an extra 10K yeah you could sneak into a base Defender compared to a LC w/ leather. And of course if you're going to cross-shop them, for ease lets say they're identical in price, you have to consider:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
1) Is it as capable off-road
2) Is it reliable
3) Is it going to hold value
4) Aesthetics
5) Badge

I have an X5, will be keeping it when my GX lands. There is not much overlap in what GX and X5 are good at.
Defender is an ok cross shop, at a much higher price point.
