These will go 15-20k over MSRP for a year or so at least....

Wonder how different LC's 2.4T Hybrid Max vs GX's 3.4L TT would feel like. On paper, they look the same but GX doesn't have the battery hump in the trunk area.
GX (except the Overtrails) have seats in place of the battery bump, so slightly different. There is talk of a GX hybrid coming out, whether its the same engine or a hybrid 6 from the Tundra.

From what I understand (which would be 100% wrong) is that the underpinnings are the same in the engine from the GH and TX500, but useage of the Hybrid system is different. In the other 2 the battery runs the rear wheels, and with the LC its an overall assist. Cant have an AWD offroad system in which the rear wheels simply run out of battery.

Ive been told I am locked in at MSRP with my LC deposit.

Sure doesn’t sound like I’m being charged 15-20k over MSRP based on how the final pricing I just got from the dealer is described.

Unless it’s a 20k trunk liner they are installing

That's quite a lot of machine for $105k

Well finally locked in my spec, really hummed and haw'ed between the Executive and the Overtrail+ but decided to make the fun choice and eent with Overtrail+ in two town Earth/Black with black interior.

Really didn't want 22" rims and while I did really want the captains chairs it wasn't enough to sway me. They made it a really hard decision between the two, maybe they will do an ultimate edition that has all of the above with a mid cycle refresh and they will convince me to upgrade. Good thing GX's seem to hold their value well enough.

    Pretty excited!

105k doesn't get you shit these days, so on the outside looking in, it seems like you are actually getting a lot of value. Rates like everyone else are brutal...residual on a lease seems low 110k spec'd, but after 4 years it's less than 50k

Yea the price doesn't bother me at all, cost of doing business these days like you say.

I am still really interested in actually seeing and getting hands on one in person to feel it out. Would be nice if it has more usable interior width, would be nice to be able to leave my driver in my bag when golfing which I can't do in my X5.

That's comically poor space in the X5. I could fit my bag (with driver in it) in my GLA45. In my last gen GX, you can very easily fit multiple golf bags with all clubs in them.

SNAP! Also locked in my order for the Overtrain + in Earth although with the Chateau interior. Dealer is not very confident on an ETA on the vehicle; many US dealers are reporting a delay in production start. Did your sales person provide any hints on when your car might land?

Yea the sides of the trunk are built out a lot with paneling really cutting into width. Annoying.

I actually think my M2 has more width since the sides jog out at the very back.

Nice! I like the chateau but I wear dark jeans a lot and am pretty sensitive to blue stains. The olive inserts will be enough seat contrast for me.

I haven’t heard anything on timing and I’ve been pressing pretty hard for details.

Was thinking more about the LC and 4R segmentation debate. I wonder if they will trend back to where they were when the 4R and FJ cruiser were both sold. But flip them with the LC being the more pedestrian choice, leaving the 4R to go more FJ cruiser and hardcore?

They managed to sell both of those models pretty well so maybe it will work.

And then they'll release a mini mini LC after that.

They already did a Corolla Cross so jumping the shark is the norm to capture niche use cases.

I am double minded on it. The version I specced is upwards of 108K. Wife doesn't seem to care much for it and it's supposed to be hers primarily. At that price point she wants/prefers the q8. Don't want to get it for myself. Somewhat confused about it all now...I guess need to think it through and at that price point compare it with many other solid options out there. Part of me wants to get it anyway as I feel for the first little while could likely flip it for over MSRP...unless that's a thing of the past by the time these roll around...

Pretty hard to cross shop this with a Q8 lol

They both have 4 wheels, a gas tank, and that’s about it.

For 108 you can buy a new F-pace SVR.
