Ens Toyota here where I bought my truck doesn't charge any additional dealer mark-up on any vehicle. They aren't dealing but it's window sticker pricing
Tundras are fairly easy to get so it should be a straight forward deal. It's the Rav4, Sienna, Sequoia and this when it comes out where the fuckery happens unless your Rage2

This is about $85k msrp new.

That's why I mentioned it, the dealership here puts no dealer fuckery on any new model in the lineup (and they don't "demo" them just so they can then sell them as used haha). Tundra allocations are still hard but not as hard as before. If I wanted a TRD Pro it was up to 18 months or something stupid still. I got a TRD Offroad only because they guy who ordered it didn't want it by the time it finally came, it was a basically a deal made in 15 minutes from a phone call. If I said no there was another waiting in the wings. They are starting to get some random ones but so far only lower trims.

My friend's Sequoia just came in finally also and again, window sticker pricing with no added markups.

The LC definitely gives the FJ Cruiser vibes. Also 4 cyl is a no go even though the output is still decent.

Seems apt because the FJ cruiser was a modelled after a Land Cruiser lol

Like the car but the I4 might be a dealbreaker. I guess GX is the only option. The I4 is 280hp/330tq, hybrid bumps it to 330hp/465tq, but is that going to be available all the time? Or for like 4-5 seconds? What if you’re towing 4,000lbs?
So I actually tested this out, I went WOT on the Sienna to see how quick I can drain the hybrid battery. I backed off at 190km/h and only drained about 1/2 getting up to that speed, took maybe 30-40 seconds? The battery is bigger in those new i-Force hybrids too. It’s not like the C63 where you only have full power for 10 seconds, and that’s not even a battery capacity issue but more of a battery management issue for that kind of output in a small battery. You’ll be fine, unless you need to go WOT for minutes at a time. Even if you’re towing, you might be using a lot of power, but you won’t be using max power. And recuperation with that much weight on your ass will charge that battery quick.

Don’t forget the Corolla Cross Hybrid. I’m told that’s a unicorn like the Prime.

Exactly what i was thinking they were doing lol Same dealer has a 2023 Sienna "used" with 90kms and same thing, its listed at 15k over msrp. My wife asked what the story was and the salesbro said the buyer drove it home and hated and sold it back to them....

I wanted to like this more, but it's really whelming. Not under or over, but I was hoping for more enticing package. GX is definitely the way to go at this point.

Definitely not an upgrade from a defender that's for sure

Those wheels look like they'd be better fitted on a Maybach, but aside from that, desirable.
I still think it's adorable to picture this coming in at less than a Sequoia. But whatever.

I think it looks great. Not sure I love the 4cyl. Would probably lean towards a GX over this depending on price.

    Here’s the official reveal video.

Assembled in Japan. Probably will be harder to get because of this reason. I think most land cruisers are assembled there.

I’m assuming it’s all the same assembly line as the GX

Limiting this thing to an 8 speed while the GX gets a 10 speed is such typical Toyota nonsense lol

I’m guessing GX550 does better in real life than its fuel economy figure, and the Land Cruiser does worse.

You're comparing 2 different things. The 8 speed transmission is designed for the i-Force hybrid and can't be used in the gas version. The GX 10 speed is gas only. The GX hybrid will have the 8 speed hybrid transmission.

That’s the nature of a comparison
