Default 2024 USA presidential Election - MEGA THREAD

Hope this doesn't turn into a TDS festival. A guy can dream.

Anyone been following this Vivek Ramaswamy dude? Heard him on the all in podcast and was pretty impressed. Don't agree with it all but seems like a message that could resonate.

Can't tell if DeSantis is electable or not, but I do think Florida has been showing some interesting stuff lately.

I am pretty sure the Deomacrats would prefer to face The Donald. I sure hope for everyone's sake that he does not become the canadiate. His time has passed.

Haven't been following the democratic primaries. I know some of you do. Looking forward to learning more. Even though I don't get a vote. American politics is rarely boring.

The Republican debate last night ... went as one would expect and really did showcase what the future of the party has in store. It's not great. I think of all the candidates the decent one seems to be Nikki Haley. At least she had some decent points on foreign policy though she still has unfavorable stances on social issues.

The USA needs less foreign policy. That's my opinion.

Can you explain what you mean, because I feel like I'd be interested, but I have no idea.

US foreign policy is about fucking whoever's shit up that threaten their dominance. We ride on that dominance and hope all the shit stirring doesn't come back and bite them, which will bite us.

Ah I see. Yeah, they need to do less in terms of foreign adventures, it sounds like you agree with me.

I'd say Canada is doing a good job pissing off China just fine on their own.

Fun part is US is dealing all the blows and we are getting all the blow backs.

That's said, Banff doesn't need any more tourists anyway.

tbh as crappy as the Americans can be with all the foreign stuff, perhaps if you go with KANT - intentions - Americans had good intentions so it absolves them

or consequentialism, the results are shit so therefore it's all their fault

that's all i know about philosophy aha

anyhow, you rather deal with the americans or the brics?? Idk I still rather hold USD>all else

Vivek was leagues above all the others in that debate. Run away victory in all aspects.

Probably still a shitty human. And won't beat Trump (IMO).

The real question is who would be best for Canada?

    Spoiler:
    None of them

I think the interviews on the all in podcast are the very best. That Dean dude was fascinating.

If it's Biden V Trump, I think it's safe to say Trump will be taking the win. From what i can tell, it looks like momentum is swinging back to the republicans.

Dems will do everything they can to keep Trump off the ballot.
    More lawsuits are coming.
