I'm looking at adding a tankless RO system.
Any personal experiences? Any plumbers on here?
I'm interested in the one below:

Does that go under your sink or in the utility room? If under the sink, you can likely DIY without too much trouble.

I had something similar, was slow to fill a container. Added an expansion tank and the faucet now comes out full blast for 1 gallon. I’ve since switched to a large commercial filter bank in the basement after adding a refrigerator with water and ice. No need for filters all over the house. Make note that RO systems have a waste volume of like 80%, if that matter to you. (needs a drain line connection)
Had a under-sink RO unit explode overnight in our first house and came out that morning to 2" of water on our main floor. Insurance ended up replacing pretty much entire kitchen area and our developed basement... be forewarned!

If you have pex it's very easy. Put one in years ago at the old house.
Had an RO system put in to our utility room and ran up to a separate tap in our kitchen. Worked pretty well, and I was less worried if it leaked since it was in the basement.
I can pass along the info if you are interested

You just need to think about the why behind this. RO is quite a wasteful treatment process with little gained. At most I would put a particulate filter at the line coming into your house. This is less about your health but protecting your appliances, this goes along with a water softener. If you are on City water, I question anything more than a softener.
When we had a well, we had a full treatment train, along with UV disinfection, but we were only paying for the pumping of that water.
Hardest part is drilling through your better than builder grade granite counter.
If you like the taste of tap water, then have at it!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I personally cant stand it
I've grown tired of filling up our Brita multiple times a day, and wanted an easier and more permanent solution.
