Tonight we go to war. I spent 200 bucks on different traps off amazon. Plastic jaw ones, electric zappers, bucket method. We'll see which one he falls into

No luck last night had all the traps set with peanut butter. Had some nibbling activity on one snapper but didn't catch it

I had the bucket thing, zero effect. Went back to the yellow pad snap traps. Those seem reliable and effective with fresh chunky peanut butter.

Even glue traps didn't do shit for me when I tried em.

I cleaned out a whole shed of mice with the bucket. Also worked here at my office quite well. Takes patience.

Busket gets good reviews. Not sure why it didn't work for me. Operator error likely. I don't have that issue with the snap traps.

DIY bucket with a scrap piece of copper 1/2" tubing and an old pop can smeared with peanut butter was catching upwards of 5 per night for me at our cottage.

had a genuinely war-crimes level mass grave for the fuckers out back.

edit: google images works well for this. natty light is on brand for the level of redneck ingenuity in this one:

(nsfw-ish if you dont want to see dead mice) https://fivegallonideas.com/wp-conte...mouse-trap.jpg
edit2: LOL just saw all the dead floaters. un-embedding but will leave the image linked for the curious.

it's super satisfying hearing the bucket splash and knowing another one is biting the dust, tbh

Not much more satisfying than knowing you killed a mouse that was in your space.

Wooden Victor snapper traps with peanut butter is the best. Make sure you don't put too much peanut on the trap, otherwise the mouse will eat for free and shit all over the place. You have to put enough that the little fucker can smell it and wander closer into the trap then whamo, deadski.

Where did you see the mouse btw? Is there anywhere in particular or is it just wandering around all over your house? Buddy in Evanston had a HUGE mouse infection and had to call exterminators, so better to catch the fucker now and before it has kids. Also check outside for gaps and shit the mouse could get through and seal those off so no more can come in.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I think the problem is I've been putting too much peanut butter. I saw him in the kitchen. But I've found droppings in the living room, bathroom, bedroom now. Fuck it, got an exterminator coming tomorrow before these bastards multiply

Good call on the exterminator. You'll never see just one. By the time there are enough for you to glimpse one now and then, there's a ton more already there that you haven't seen.
