Looking at some nice oldskool wheels for my car, they have a nice polished lip, but the faces are gold. Not sure how thats gonna look on my car. Anyone have an idea how much it would gost to have them painted dark silver/gunmetal or a bright silver?

They are extremely rare BBS Wheels (never sold or available in north america), and I would hate to see them done poorly, do you have any examples of your work?

Ben, take em to Extoic Cars International where I get my work done, you wont risk anything and they'll be done right FOR SURE
Moe, not knocking your skill, but the wheels are rare and not worth the risk...
I can recommend Exotic cars... My mom had a mishap in the parking lot once... and the car came back like it was from the factory... The color matching was done so well, you really can't see a difference in the color of the vehicle.

get them powercoated ... it would prob cost about 120?
Ben, are you looking at those BBS from that Mazda from Wade??
If so, you might want to also fix the lips if you paint them. When the clearcoat yellows on those factory lips they look horrid. If you paint the centers they will look even worse. I would suggest you get them fully redone if you decide to paint them. Spend the extra $$$ and redo the entire wheel or you'll end up spending more in the long run.
A few years back in Vancouver, I paid $100 per rim.
These were my ITR wheels which were repainted champ white, and I had a red lip put on at the same time.
oh ok if they are that rare then i think you sould get them powder coated
ben, come see the boys here at nationals. they've painted their share of wheels. but i'm not sure how much they charge.
you can come check out the shop as well.

More than that for powder coating. They have to bead blast the wheels to remove the old paint first. That said powdercoating is the best way to go. My wheels turned out beautiful.Originally posted by Velox
