I hate to say it but Lindholm checked out 2 seasons ago. Finally we get someone who wants to play

I don't hate the trade at all. I think it will reinvigorate Lindy because, as we saw with Tkachuk and Johnny, he's a great supporting player and not the main star. The canucks have lots of guys that Lindholm can support over there especially with his full 200 ft gaime. Also Kuzmenko is a shooter just like Sharengovich so putting them with Mr. Spin-and-pass will likely see much better results than when Lindholm was on that line. The rest of the pieces for the flames were great, especially that defense in the CHL.
One thing we need to remember is that Kuzmenko has a 12 team no trade list and its rumored Calgary was on it. So that means 2 things for me: 1. he wants to be in a place he can play again because he was benched a ton in VAN and 2. using him as a trade chip isn't going to be as easy as we the fans hoped. I think with the right partners he could actually be a really good piece for us.

iirc depends on the trade, no trade list might not transfer to the new club
Calgary was on his no trade list, its confirmed that he waived to come here. Likely under the premise of PP time.
Why wouldn't it if it was part of his contract? Isn't that what happened when that one guy was traded from Ottawa to Vegas then Vegas tried to trade him to the ducks? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Clauses after Trades
If a player is traded before a NTC or NMC starts, the clause is removed unless the acquiring team agrees to keep it, which is rare.
If a player has a Modified NTC or NMC in effect, and a player is traded to a team that is permitted based on the list (no waiving of the clause is required), the clause remains in effect after the trade.
If a player waives a clause for a trade, they generally agree to waive it only for the purposes of that specific trade, so the acquiring team agrees to put it back in place.
Update in 2020 MOU: No-Trades & No-Moves travel with the Player when traded or waived. This means that if a player is traded before the clause goes into effect, the clause will no longer be removed with the new team. If players have already lost their clause due to being traded prior to it starting, they will not be re-instated.?
Kuzy is a fun guy to listen to. As a Canucks fan, I'm going to miss him.
He's a very talented player, but maybe that easy-goingness is what pushed him out of Vancouver. Tocchet doesn't allow any of his players to take nights off and not play a solid defensive structured game. Kuzy struggled with that. Last year it wasn't as big of a deal as scoring can put blinders on for other mistakes, but he wasn't doing that much this year.
Honestly, it looks like a win-win trade. Calgary got a bunch of return back (Interested to see how Brzustewicz ends up. He has LOTS of potential), and Lindholm wasn't exactly himself for the last year or two with Calgary. So far, both players have looked better in their new homes.
Still can't believe flames traded Lindholm for Kuzmenko and Huberdeau!

Would we be happy with a Hanafin for Point swap with Tampa?
Beyond happy.
Tampa would not be though.
Not to mention cost...
Hanafin + 2024 1st + Coronato probably just to keep them on the phone.
What the fuck are you talking about? That makes no sense. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
