Default Car Starter and Install Recommendations

My wife is looking to get a remote starter this year for her Subaru. Can anyone recommend a place to get it supplied and installed for a good price?

    Thanks in advance!

I went to ARA auto accessories down by chinook, quick to get us in showed us all the different models and had it done the same day for a good price.

I had one installed at Visions for my wife's Q5. It did end up 'using' one of the keys as it needs to be placed into the starter or something (German vehicle thing I believe), but it works well. 2 way, crazy range etc. Was around $850 out the door.

Same for my Fiesta. I called quite a few places and most said I couldn't have a starter installed due to the combination of manual + pushbutton then someone on a fiesta forum pointed me to Okotoks Visions and the guy said it was fine to do you just lose a key. There's an extra module that basically powers up the fob when it wants to start the car then disables it after.

    Hi that was me.

I have gotten probably 15 cars done at Visions at this point and have no issues with them. I've switched my cars over to Viper's Smart Start, much easier using your phone and not having an extra fob to lug around. Message me if you want my guy's contact, he's in Okotoks.

It was a few years back, but I also had a good experience with these guys.
