Not surprised. This has been problem with AESO since forever. AESO was never independent and also messed with. And have AESO come out being political in this and be government's attack dog is strange.

That said tho, with most NG plant contract lasting til 2045, it may cost us to end it early. In the meantime, pausing green energy development in the province where solar is strongest is also short sighted. It may buy us time until SMR is ready and hopefully within next decade.
