For some reason it’s still not open heading North/West and it’s causing a lot of chaos as everyone has been forced to turn onto highway 8.
I thought it was always the plan to turn onto highway 8 then turn off again to stony south.

400-600 km/h is not a problem when you're done work at 8 pm.

That is the ring road. It heads West on highway 8 before turning North.

Yes and the North portion was still closed at 9:40am when heading North/West from 69st, forcing people to continue West towards Bragg creek on 8.

Ah, yes, that is different. Strange that they declared it open when it isn't.

Yes the new bridge is done, but they closed the other bridge to repair/upgrade it, so it's still all traffic on one bridge.

He's talking about the bridge on the deep south segment aka 22X, not the "South Bow River bridge" in the north, which is now open. I know, it's confusing.

Google Maps is terrible now. Apple Maps has been better for years now (in Calgary).

The entire ring road was updated on Apple Maps when the first part opened up but marked closed. It opened up today, routing uses it although estimated time is a bit off.

Was able to go from my place in Arbour Lake to Chaparral entrance in 23 mins. Door to door from my place to kenny's in Mahogany was 32 mins. Shaved 8 mins! Went 120 the whole way minus construction areas. Can probably make it under 30 in perfect conditions and no construction.

It's why you have the above routes, why 69th St is setup the way it is....The province transportation engineers came up with the plan under the parameters they were given (and they delivered), now the city just has to deal with it.
Could you explain a bit more on this one? I am curious.

    Thanks!~

So whats the problem? You can't go from stoney to stoney? Or the reverse? I'm confused.

42 mins Balzac to Woodlands (door to door)

Probably shave about 4 mins off that without Christmas Mall traffic

Caveat, it was at 6.30pm so probably away from the rush, but most of the west side of Stoney was dead

It’s like an American spaghetti interchange because there’s so many lanes.
