I gave up on Google maps a couple of years ago. Canada is an afterthought. Using Google Maps in US cities, it tells you what lane you need to be in so you don't miss it, for whatever reason we don't get that in Canada. When Stoney SW opened up, NB it doesn't tell you to turn off to Sarcee so everyone was missing that exit. So I finally gave Apple POS Maps a try and turns out it's not a POS anymore and actually really good. Everything google maps US does, Apple Maps does here, and their road updates are WAY faster. The shit show changes every few weeks at TC1/Stoney has always been updated within a day.

And you're right, the google maps Website experience is completely different than the app experience. That's just google for you haha.

I've been using apple a bunch instead of waze but they are missing a bunch of speed cameras like northland drive after a number of months and I miss having the route button on waze so I can at least see other options as sometimes apple only provides one option.

It's not really a useful route. Takes too long. Left turn on 10th to Memorial is actually pretty quick during rush hour due to two left turn lanes. Problem is the right turn onto Kensington. That thing takes forever and iirc it's a right turn on green only.
