My Ukrainian ancestors were given a quarter section of uncleared moose pasture in northern Saskatchewan to homestead on as newcomers. Almost all died the second winter and eventually abandoned it to start again in Alberta, so I can see how Toronto would be unbearable to the refuges.

1) Who are the indigenous people of the Gaza region?

3) Why should Israel agree to a ceasefire when it was Hamas that attacked first on Oct 7?

1. Whats your definition of indigenous? Pretty sure arabs have inhabited the region for at least 500 years but I don’t really care enough to look it up

3. Because it’s a humanitarian disaster for the nth time. More innocents killed so far than hamas militants. Every day 10 children losing a limb
4. Do you know how many of the hostages have been killed by the IDF themselves?

1. Did you know that a significant percentage of Hamas militants were orphans or had close family members killed by Israel?
2. Did you know that there are a significant amount of Israelis who are openly supportive of ethnic cleansing and genocide similar to the Hamas extremists
3. Do you think when all this is said and done that Israel will be safer?

It’s easy to fall for the IDF propaganda (omg 40 beheaded babies in ovens!) but long term I just don’t see this ending well for Israel. The irony is that it’s ultimately going to be countries like Canada taking in all the refugees that are being pushed out of Israel. I hope all the genocide sympathizers here like shawarmas!
