What possible reason would there be to restrict that? Since the draft is in one week, it's time to get some business done.

Now if you really mean that the playoffs go to late in the year, that's something I can get behind. But the hockey has been good, I have been enjoying the games.

A big reason for the trade deadline is to finalize lineups for the playoffs. This defeats that, and, punishes the teams who are still in the playoffs because they are a little too preoccupied with on-ice activities to focus on trades.

So a trade freeze for the entire playoffs for the whole league? Or I guess from the in-season trade deadline until after the cup is handed out? Or maybe a couple weeks after that since the winning team will be busy with parades etc for a while. Better move the draft a few weeks later too then.

3k for tickets in upper section attack side twice. Hotels were a pain but my decision to go was pretty last minute.
