I got the season started with a couple laps by 19th street, now the long wait for the mountains to open.
Anyone have big trips planned this year? New gear? Objectives you are trying to hit?

Haha, nice. Good on you for getting out.
I’ve got a trip planned to Italy for 2 weeks in late January. Doing the European delivery for my Sterrato for a couple days and then have about 12 to do whatever. Planning on heading north to the Dolomites to do some riding but have no idea where to start. If any of you have ridden Italy, I’d love a rundown on where to go and what to expect.
You doing baldface this year? I’m perpetually waitlisted but might check out their Valhalla operation for a day trip.

I'm hoping to explore the Pyrenees this year and sleep in the back of my van like the ski bums I idolized when I was young.
A friend booked a place in Austria for a week in January but not sure I’ll be able to make it sadly.
I might go check it out Friday to see how shit the snow is, nakiska also opens this weekend but I am booked up for Saturday and SundayThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

looking like a poor start to touring season.. highwood and bow summit are essentially dry with ~10cm and no real substantial storms in 10 day forecast. Hopefully thursdays cranks up high. Think 2019/2020 really screwed my brain for what good ski touring in november was like
I have an infant now so I will never have fun again

I dunno I've started doing some limited lurching around with a cane and I'm going to my first physio on Thursday. So I'm not ruling it out but I think we're probably talking 2024 at the earliest not 2023 haha
The swelling is fierce the issue might be fitting in the boot. And the wound isn't healed yet :/

I had surgery on my shoulder last November but got some low key tours in, in march, and bigger ones in April, so you might be in shape for the best part of the year anyway
I’m still midway through my backcountry bag audit? Got bored halfway through and haven’t bought batteries yet lol

Yep, look Russian but fully western euro-mutt. Sunshine only has a 6 inch base currently, I suspect we are facing a slow start to this season based on the long term forecast.

Spent the morning figuring out kids skis, need to grab some 100cm ideally boy color if anyone has some. Daughter needs some 140cm.
Grabbed some new poles from outlaw sports as they have a sale on. Nice people in there too.
Has anyone tried the heli operation SilverTip? Got an invite and trying to decide if it’s good enough to go with some folks I don’t know well.
