Seriously considering that soundbar as it fits a difficult space. Might be a dumb question but do you think the soundbar/sub would sound better than something like this?

This is the space. We've had that little table there for 5 years and I really want it gone. Was thinking of the 2 bookshelf 2.1 speakers on the little shelves right by the nose of the A wing and black elephant. Or I've thought maybe a soundbar behind the giraffes but I'm worried it'll sound weird being enclosed on 5 sides.
The TV fully fills the hole and more so I can't push it back at all. The stand goes nearly flush to the edge as well

So on these Frame TV's, do you need to cut a hole in the wall behind the TV to fit this box, or can you run it without the box? On my wall, I already have a power outlet and don't plan on plugging anything else into it except an amazon firestick (unless it's got access to netflix/disney plus built in already). This control box is not great for me as I'm not interested in cutting a big hole into the wall to house it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It has a single cable for power, hdmi etc, so my plan is to just hide the box in our tv stand and run the single cable through the wall. I don’t think it’s optimal for those who have power by where you’d typically have to cut the hole but if you have a stand under it, easy to hide the one wire
@rage2 you’re more of an AV guy then anyone else here, can you speak to G-Ms question on the sound bar?
Anyone seen 4060ti 16gb on for <600$? I found a couple white zotacs in the range but, not a white system.
I don't know soundbar dynamics enough to say how it'll sound in the above TV space. I don't think anything is really ideal in this setup, so soundbar might be the best way regardless just for space reasons.

Can you get a wall mount to get rid of the TV stand?
Should free up enough space to keep the sound bar below the TV

You can’t run a frame without the box. It’s just a display panel; everything that makes it a tv is in the box. That being said, putting a little niche in the wall behind the tv to house the box is not a big job at all. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Thinking I might fall for the hype and try some of these Hexclad pots and pans - anyone have any experience with them?

I'm sure they good when new, but everything in this world "clad" = disposable. Plan for replacements in a few years. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
See my thread about non stick that isn't.
Fuck any premium non-stick

Got a linky? Haven't seen your thread, but I'm surmising you came to a similar conclusion. America test kitchen did a review on this and you're better off buying a non-stick every couple years (think t-fal, OXO or some other brand that has been around that aren't exceptionally expensive). Exception being stainless or carbon steel but you typically have to heat the pan up quite a bit more to get non stick eggs which is more of a fry and less of a gentle cook. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Tldr, the cheapest t-fal are damned good, and go 75% off regularly at the triangle store. Heritage rock is better made, thicker base, and also go on sale sometimes. May or may not be worth the extra money. Anything better than that, for non-stick coated pans, can go fuck itself.
All-clad stainless is great, and I have one, but not really non-stick.
