Daughter wanted some random shapes painted on here ceiling in her loft. We have some edge clean up to do, but it came out not bad using child labour.

I have PTSD from that pink color as our entire baby room was painted that color... with gloss tinge to it... so much sanding...........

We finally finished the grouting over the weekend.

    So Coles notes :

Re-modeled the fireplace (had a huge and bulky 36 inch ledge on top)
    Added faux chimney
    New tile
    Added cabinets on the sides
Added 9 LED pot lights +dimmers to this and surrounding room
Then we were finally able to hang our Frame Tv (already had, just not wall mounted)

All completed without contractors or trades for under 3k and in 3 months.

This is what people don't realize about DIY stuff (if you're handy enough to do so), yes it will save you a shit ton of money, but it also takes a lot longer. If you're willing to wait/put the time in then there is a lot to save. I bet that would be 10k at least if you did get a contractor in. I finished my basement last year and am probably in it for $35-40k but it took me 11 months to do after hours and random weekends but I would probably would probably be $80-90k + if I contracted it.
