Should do a colour fade transition at the back door, give it a 5/6 drop

That's nuts!!! Glad they're addressing it. Crazy they even let it leave the shop like that!!! I've drop off parts for the guys at my fav shop and they've been able to colour match without needing the entire car, so this is nuts.

You have to love the "maybe he won't notice" attitude of the body shop in question. Tells you that their quality standards are pretty low when they consider that good enough to deliver to a customer.
Glovebox code... typo/transpose along the way even just of the tweak... in shop lights I can totally see it. Sunlight vs shop lighting very different. Probably looked pretty close in the shop.
That's what they said. They had no problem scheduling me in for a fix. So good on them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Totally agree this may have looked fine indoors at the shop. Daylight is tricky stuff. Would be nice if they had a method for avoiding this, but still the fact they'd fix it is probably about as good as anyone can expect.

Good paint shops have good lights to prevent this. Letting this out of the shop and to the customer is pure laziness and incompetence.
Did nobody pull this outside and look at it and question it? This is a very obvious issue and the picture shown isn't even a bright day.
Jesus what kind of paint shop is this that doesn't have proper lighting? Lightning has a drastic effect to the finished product as there's a reason that auto body shops that carry OEM certification are required to meet minimum paint booth lighting requirements. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
