I've had good luck replacing parts on fridges but have never done a control board before. I like to gamble so I would probably go for a repair vs a new fridge but that Electrolux should have quite a few years left in it

How about buy a new fridge for now but demote this one to garage or basement and tinker with it a bit to see if you can get out working cheaply. Then you'll have a backup fridge & beer fridge and freezer for carefully portioned, dead whores.
I'm a cheap fuck.. If it will cost me an hour of my time and a $150 in parts I will go that way.
Its why I chose the $150 route for my washer vs a new washer lol.
I agree with buying new, fixing old as spare. Basement / garage fridges are awesome. Make a 12 lb turkey or full crock pot, just toss the whole pot in the spare.
Does Miele not make fridges?
Tap, Rack, BANG!
They do, but I wouldn't recommend one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've got a 13 year old one. There is a 3 degree difference between the lower and top shelves. I've not looked at new Miele stuff, but the ones I have (all 12-13 years old) like the range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, wash/dryer all seem to be really quirky and feel like it's 1980's technology.. Nothing is intuitive, there are all sorts of odd options etc. The microwave doesn't have a numeric keypad. Black knob and a touch pad that requires 8 steps to start up and heat something for 40 seconds. The time goes up in 10 second increments and requires you to push the button for each 10 seconds. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
