Hey guys, does anyone have a hook up at one of the local railing stores? Need a small railing for my front step and dont want to pay ~900 for it.

The kit stuff Home Depot sells is pretty good and it won't be $900.
As long as you don't live in Elboynia, or whatever.
What colour are you looking for and how many stairs? I have a white aluminum railing that I am going to replace with a black one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

LoL! This brings back horrendous memories of when I tried to do almost precisely this job. You have to hammer drill very very close to the edges and the noses of those stairs and there's a very good chance you're going to fuck that up.
I sure did. I remember that day, real well.
Not looking forward to it lol but gotta do it lol. 2 kids under 2 and one is bound to fall off that edge there are also side mounts from what I've seen at lowesThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I may have some sections that could work for you. ill check under my deckThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I chipped the nose off my fucking stamped concrete step and I completely snapped. It was a very bad day for many other reasons but that pushed me far over the edge. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Please consider hiring a pro.
Definitely use epoxy anchors to prevent stress cracks.

If anyone has some id gladly take it.
We could barely get legit companies to come quote our deck railings… there were no hookups lol.
We used McLean Contracting and they were great. Super quick to measure/install and did a great job.
I do have some pieces that might work for you.
The two straight pieces are 47” long. And the stair piece is good for 3-4 stair treads
They are in good shape. Just dirty.

The Home Rail stuff is definitely DIY ready.
The posts are standard height...The rails and pickets are cut as required to fit.
I used a new blade on a mitre saw and the aluminum cut like butter.
However the issues with mounting will still be an issue.
I installed mine into a wooden deck.
