Default What to do with unused gift cards?

Now hear me out, I have a stack of $150 Keg cards I keep getting from work the last decade or so. Can you actually sell them for a percentage of face value in a non-scammy way or are there places to trade them? Also, can you tip with them if I do find myself in a Keg at some point?

Simply using them is not a good option for me.

There are people who sell them on Facebook or Kijiji. That's an option. Or sell em here. Or donate to teachers at your kids school, or any charity. Every charity can find a way to use them, even if just for volunteer rewards.

Start re-gifting them for family/friends birthdays, etc.

Pretty sure you can tip with them as the GCs act like cash.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Donating them to teachers is a pro move

Also the keg isn’t half bad in a pinch, treat yourself.

The real pro move is giving to your kids teachers at Christmas not at year end. You want the benefits of sucking up all spring.

I feel like I would give you fully 75% value of those in cash without hesitation because of where I'm situated.

The Keg doesn't suck. Are you in Calgary? The downtown one actually has great service at dinner.

Great takeaway option if you are getting to go out on your expense account.

Lots of good options here. Just need to collect them and see how many I can still find.

There definitely used to be sites that would let you consign them, but I'm not sure how that works now. Something called "gift card scams" are apparently rampant now and I don't think I understand how those work or what impact they have had.
