Which is also perfect timing for April snow and May snow. Aka: rest of winter
I'm not saying it in surprise, I'm saying it as a point of joy. It's unusual for the ice to be completely gone in the shady areas. My trees will enjoy the future snow dumps now instead of it all just evaporating.

Probably been asked a million times here, but is end-of-season a good time to get winter tire deals?

Not that I've ever noticed. They seem to just pack them into storage for next year, which seems odd to me.

I think tires are hard for end of season sales because there's just so many different sizes. Even if places have clearances chances are you won't find the right ones. Usually fall is a good time as shops bring in huge quantities and want to move them as quickly as possible to recoup the cost and the manufacturers offer some rebates as well.

Start of season is where you get rebates and stuff

These days most manufacturers are trying to under produce rather to sell out rather than being stuff with stuff. Most of the major distributors take returns seasonally to so stores are not usually stuck with inventory they have to sit on. That said, if you find a store with stock they have you can sometimes get a deal that can make it worthwhile to buy now. All you can do is ask!

My phone just received a heavy snowfall warning for Cochrane starting tomorrow until Friday. Fuck ya, bring it.

I love big dumps too. Except I'm supposed to pick up my motorcycle on Wednesday. I guess the trailer it is.

My reaction to hearing people cheer on spring snow is something akin to when Peter thinks Jennifer aniston fucked lumberg in office space.

I think driving on tires that suit the conditions produces favorable results.

Did a Foothills industrial to Airport trip this morning. Deerfoot didn't seem plowed, couldn't see any lines. NE drivers are hilarious to watch in this stuff. Took Stoney back to the SE and it was significantly better/clear.

Can confirm the Tundra slides well once you take all the nannies off.

Took DF south and it's a fucking chaos at noon. South of Anderson wasn't plowed so it's like driving on a dirt road.... Stoney was fine cause the province is responsible for snow removal on it. WTF is the city doing?

Not removing snow, that's for sure. Crowchild and Glenmore hadn't been plowed at all when I drove on them this morning.
