Car guys in the area regularly drop by to check out the progress…and when the vehicle is this pretty, you have to snap a pic…

Had the crane out a few times…this was the last day for the crane and everything was put in place…or at least in a spot where things could be moved for the final time (i.e., the upper trusses).

Patio door and overhead doors should be on site mid-January.

    Some interior stuff…

Plumbing roughed in for the bathroom, dirty shop sink, main drain, vent stack…

    Electrical panel in place.

Squarebodies look at home in here…there’s 15’+ behind the white truck and 5’ behind the red/tan truck. So lots of room for activities.

More interior but probably hard to visualize for now.

Clean car storage area (15’ wide by 55’ long) and the far end of that will be the washroom (10’x5’) and the utility room (10’x10’).

Dirty shop, was 30’x65’ but we carved out a 17’x11’ area that’ll be added onto the lounge area. The resulting space gives 4 work bays and a workbench/fabrication area.

The lounge area which was 15’x45’ plus the 17’x11’ extension that was accomplished by using a leftover beam from another job site.

Orange mark on the footing is where the new back wall of the lounge will be. The doorway just over the footing is the entry to the bathroom.

Looking down the stairs into the lounge. The landing and the ramp at the bottom will be gone once the pad is poured.

The upstairs area over the lounge…the far room will be an office and the larger room will be for my wife.

Storage area over the washroom/clean car storage area. Ceiling height in here is actually just over 7’ so it’s not bad. The far end is partitioned off and can be accessed from the dirty shop (will be installing an I beam and a hoist to lift heavy stuff up there).

Longer term option for the entire upper area could be - a master bedroom, the office would be an en-suite, and the upper area could be a massive walk in closet. Just need to convince the wife we should demo the house and move over there!

There…I think we are up to date…that took a while to organize photos!

Awesome the third time. This is why I like this forum, threads just like this.

Great work! Love it, can't wait to see the finished product along with some cars in it.

What's in that 4 door (Ford I think?) brown car with the new tires on the rear, that was on the lift? Also spotted, very nice looking blue truck, along with that red convertible, although I know what that is. I think..,

Are you in an area where you can shoot firearms? Building a 50m dug in range for handguns/cqb, and having as long a rifle range I could get away with, and your place is pretty much my dream setup. Again, love the house and the new structures. Big time.

Thanks…now that it’s up to date, I’ll keep adding as we go along and it won’t be such an ordeal!

The brown car, the blue car, and the silver car are all the same…Mercury Marquis/Ford LTD…which are basically 4-door Foxbody Ford Mustangs. The brown and blue ones are very fast, the silver one is a parts car but it is still a driver.

Blue truck is a recently restored 1952 Ford F1 with a flathead V8…I helped my neighbour build it and I finished it up with a custom stainless dual exhaust…first time welding with TIG and it turned out pretty well. Oh, and the red car is a 1990 (I think) Jag XJS…pretty mint except for the chipped window from the last time I drove it!

And we can shoot around here…as long as your property is big enough and you maintain proper setbacks from dwellings.

The more I look at your pics, there more I hear Mr Rogers song 'Won't you be...my neighbor" in my dome. Won't go away.

Was hoping you would make a thread after posting little bits and pieces. Going to be such an awesome shop when complete.

    This is amazing - immense.

Are you doing a YouTube channel or performance shop??
