Bizzump. For those of you who have your set up on carpet like in a bedroom, what did you do for the floor? I want to set something up in the basement in a corner but I am not sure that will be its forever home and would rather not rip up the carpet to accomodate that. Rubber matts right on the carpet? Plywood first? thoughts? Its relatively new carpet in an unused corner so its still in excellent shape.

Build a lifting platform.
Super easy to do.

Lifting platform for deadlifts, rubber mats on the carpet for the rack (bench/squat).

We did plywood with impact tiles over top - can't even tell there is carpet underneath

This would completely depend how thick the rubber mats are and what your carpet underlay is like. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Our house this was way too soft.
Build the platform and away you go.
Yah i had mats on carpet at my last place, but they were the big thick fuckers and the carpet was some kinda fancy design bullshit that wasn't very soft so it worked great haha.. For sure carpet dependent.
See the photos in the ad for the platform I am selling now. Had this on medium pile carpet, capret was fine after, just needed a vacuuming. They are pretty damn heavy though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I got a couple of these for deadlifting in my garage. Sure I lose a half inch on my deadlift... but it was a quick, cheap, and effective way to protect the floor / plates / bar

Current setup, ignore the brown that’s changing in summer. We are still feeling out what we need, but this covers probably 80% of what we do.

Elevate the indoor bike by pretending you’re on a horse?
Gaming while cardio is the only way to do it.
Unless you’re outdoors. Funny my wife was watching me one day and said my RPMs went up to about 100 (usually a constant 75-80) and stayed that way during boss fights and other stressful situations hahaha
This is a great ideaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
haha i used to play COD with my buds when i was on my trainer, they hated listening to me on the mic but it made it way better for me![]()
lol, I noticed the same thing playing COD. any time you’re in a stressful spot or running away, my power and cadence jumps equivalently. Red Dead is a good combo as there is a lot of just horse riding and the shoot outs are never that bad. Also makes the hour of training fly by vs watching a show or worse, watching Zwift (of note, mywhoosh is banger for free)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Has anyone tried VR for cardio? Seems like some next level stuff or a death trap, not sure...
