No, I feel the fat stacks going out the door once we get the tax assessment. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It's this lack of thought on spending by the city that irks me.
Like spending time and money on premium body oil, oiling up only to be told the art room closes in 30min.

My value went up 12.6% as compared to 2023

20xx NX350 AWD
Actually got my number today - only up 3.1%. Aside from my tax bill being 60% higher than my previous house that we had until last year, I think I'm winning.

I'm up 10.24%. Average I guess.
Assessment is 824,000 but if I were to sell it'd close to 950,000. Good nuff.

22% increase in assessed value... guess we got hammered on our builder grade basement development.
Everyone else on the street is in the 16% range.
So I got my assessment in the mail the other day. When I first checked a week ago, it said $665k.Not bad. The letter said it was 722,500! This was apparently 2 months after paying 640k for the house.
I'm appealing that.
Ours is up 14%, there never seems to be any logic to these things.
It's reverse calculated starting with how much money the city needs. Then a factor of how much each community can actually afford. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Feel ripped off by reading some property tax increases on Vancouver Island.
Assessment of $1.3M tax increase to $1,162 and people are losing their mind.

Never listen to what people on Vancouver island have to say.
Rookie mistake.
