TLDW, basically a Taco turned into SUV.

Isn’t that what the 4Runner has always been?
I’ll admit I don’t really understand the market segmentation between this and Land Cruiser.

Not really. Land cruiser sits above 4Runner. Doesn’t it?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

As body on frame SUVs goes for Toyota:
Land Cruiser - What Sheikh rides in, we only get them as Lexus LX.
Land Cruiser Prado = GX - Somehow now we get this as official Land Cruiser in North America.
Currently 4Runner is the lowest price SUV with KDSS. Rumor that will be removed for 6th gen, just like LC.
Sequoia - Anybody care about this at all?
Positioning aside, pricing and aligning with Taco means 4Runner will no longer come out of Japan like LC. It'll be built in Texas/Mexico.

I think the new Sequoia's look bad ass, but fucking LOL'd at how they ruined any usability in the back of it with the batteries. Fucking idiotsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Between all these vehicles and the likely engine change in the 6th gen, I should opt for a 2024 5th gen. Overall I like the styling of the 5th gen more as well.

The new Land Cruiser appears to no longer be an LX and possibly even sits below the GX.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

that's what I did. Picked up a new 2023 from Ryan at Red Deer Toyota last year as I wasn't sure what the 6th gen would be like. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I mean all of these vehicles are now on the same modular platformThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It shouldn’t surprise that there is very little differentiating them.
My general opinion with these is that it makes the lower end of the family very good, and the upper end of the family very Mediocre. But the lower end expensive and the upper end cheaper.
