How early to be at airport for WestJet to US flight

Go early and check into a lounge... a lot of credit cards give you a certain number of free visits per year. Even if you are paying, its a full meal and whatever booze you want in a nicer atmosphere.

What time does the WJ lounge open for booze? Most of our vacations we leave at 8am or so and always felt like a waste to use up a lounge pass.

We still do two hours with or without kids. It was more annoying to check car seats though. With no car seats now, it's just bag drop and go.

11am on the domestic side

The aspire in the US side used to be free for all at all hours, but I read somewhere they changed that

I'm the opposite, I cut it as close as I can with kids cause it's less time I have to keep them entertained in the airport/airplane. haha

Depends on what the kids like to do but mine love the airport. We went away a couple weeks ago and arrived 3 hours early, got through in probably the fastest time ever and our flight was delayed an hour after we got through. Killed an hourish in the lounge and then took them to the play area and they had a blast and burned off most of their energy im sure.

I find that adds to anxiety … damn kids are a pain to fly with …

When my kids were in car seats and strollers yeah that was a pain but now that theyre older its not bad at all.

That's been my experience at the Westjet Elevation lounge as well. The only alcohol I'd notice available on the app from 7 to 11 am are mimosas and coffee with Baileys.

Its all Self serve!

The liquor is set up in dispensers and the mix in the fridge. (Wine in the fridge as well) Dont remember seeing beer or anything else.

As mentioned above, that's the Aspire Lounge on the US side, their beer is on tap as is their pepsi...the WestJet lounge is totally different and nothing is self serve except coffee

Can confirm there is no alcohol available in the AM...was in there at 6am this morning and the liquor optics were not out, beer tap was off and no wine available

3 hours early was overkill for us, 1.5 would have been just fine. MIL was driving so it wasn't up to me, ugh.

Only partially as I hate pissing on a plane, although wasted me might not give a damn. Will investigate next time.
