Default Mercedes Benz Dealer for Service

Have the 2nd annual service (Service B) coming up for my car, wondering what dealer the MB owners on the forum would recommend for best service experience. I originally went to Downtown MB for my Service A, but they royally messed up my paint with their courtesy wash last time and I'm not going through that again.

Was hoping to go to the newest one off Country Hills but some shady online reviews there. Anyone used them for service before and care to share their experience?

I only had one service done there so far. No issue yet. Regarding dealership half washing cars and wiping them with sandpaper, it can happen just about any shop. I would bring in a clean car or tell them to not wash it.

I am with Lone Star and they have not pissed me off once in the last 8 years even if I have to drive 3/4 thru the city for service.

That said, I'm sure if you asked enough people, there will always be someone pissed with all 3.

I had excellent experience with downtown. But my entire car was ppfd so I didn’t even look to see what happened after they washed it.

Thanks for the feedback, absolutely agree that someone probably has something bad to say about any given dealership. I figured on Beyond at least the owners would be like minded car people and would have similar standards as myself. Funny though how each of the people that have replied so far have used each of the three dealerships in town and had good experiences with each. I'll probably go ahead and try Country Hills and make sure they don't wash it.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Thanks man! If the timing fell in the spring or summer I would actually consider taking you up on that. Who knows depending on how things go at Country Hills on this one, I may reach out to you for my next service!

I know the Service Manager at Lonestar. I just know the Parts Manager at Country Hills. So can't really help you out in the Service side

I thought you were saying you knew the Service Manager in both instances. LoL

    Lone star is fine.

I’m sure CH and DT are also fine.

You are massively overthinking this, even with just the tiny amount of thought you put in.

The key is to get full ppf wrap and trade cars every 13 weeks.

Matte purple is the only acceptable color though.

To shift things up a bit, you could also double-up on the PPF and replace it every few years because you can't stand any blemishes on the thing that is supposed to take blemishes.
And then hit the Mile Wide carwash every 3 days to keep that bitch sparklin'.

Anyways - doesn't Tunerworks also do warranty-approved benz serving? I heard that once second hand, but might be worth an option for you.

If that's an option, you could go to Continental as well. I used them a couple times for my R129 and had excellent experience with them.

Normally I would agree, but when a dealership does $1500+ in damage to my car I tend to think deeply on it. But way to go with the insults.

Telling the dealer not to run it through the wash is nice car 101

I went to DTMB for my windshield replacement last year. On the way home I had to use the wipers. The drivers arm banged against the drivers A pillar. I took the car to CHMB since they were nearby. They said DTMB gave the car back to me with the wiper arms swapped left for right.

Why dealer servicing? Still under a specific warranty or what?
