    Default Cabo

Has anyone traveled between Cabo (airpot) and La Paz?

Trying to organize for my inlaws but am not sure what to recommend for transport? Anyone have experience with a transport company / bus company they would recommend?

About 20 years ago I drove from Loreto to Cabo with my dad.

The main highway had a firefight between cartel and federali, they stopped us on the road and told us to head into the countryside as we heard gunfire and sound of ricochet. We went into the countryside and nobody spoke English, got lost for about 4 hours while trying to figure out how to continue heading south and finally ended up in Cabo after about 14 hours on the road (was supposed to be under 6)..

Good times. Probably changed a lot on the Baja but something I sure won’t forget! Smart phones would of helped too..

Had a great Trip. Best item was the "Wide Open Racing experience. Really fun. Photo is potato, but you get the drift. I am not an amazing driver, but did improve significantly through the day.
We did the "9 laps at the track" version instead of the tour. 9 laps sounds short, but they are 5 miles long, and it ended up as ten laps anyway, so it's 50 miles of racing.
Top Speed in our group was 68 MPH, but the end we were all averaging over 40 MPH for the full course. Nobody rolled, which is nice.

The silly little "water taxi" one hour tour to the Arch and Lovers Beach, is also an incredible value. Depending on the day, it's $15-$35 USD, but a solid value for those prices.

It was not inexpensive, and I'm not an expert, but I think when they say that it's a legitimate off-road racing vehicle, they are not exaggerating. Service and experience was very good as well, which always helps.
    I can recommend this unreservedly.
Of note, the track is very rough in areas, so it's pretty physically demanding. We had the option of more laps to add on, but did not.

Also, I highly DO NOT RECCOMEND attempting to hike from the public beach to lovers beach. Great views, no trail, completely unsafe. We turned back from this point.

Yeah I thought about it once. Now with an arthritic ankle and 20 more years and associated weight, not gonna happen. My brother-in-law hiked up to the cross at the top and back. On a hot day. Muy loco!

We paddle boarded over to lovers beach... also a decent little excursion.

But you're correct, those cliffs are not safe whatsoever.
