Some of these councillors voted for it last year.
We all understand Sharp. You voted for something last year you either didn't bother reading, or didn't think there would be blow-back on.“I don’t think anyone understands what happened last week,” says Sharp, the councillor.

So the fee is min, not max. Just got charged 50c for a bag in Chinatown for 2 take out boxes.
And it's a waste of time asking each patron if they need bag and utensils.
Popeyes on 17th didn't charge me for a bag last night. And got a plastic straw too! My kinda place. Shame they charge so much for chicken wings.
Tuesday: went to a sit down place where the guy asked if I wanted to use their one-time-use napkins
Thursday (today): sat down at a breakfast place where I was given single-use jam, peanut butter, and ketchup without being asked if i wanted any of that. Also had to ask 3 times to get the single-serving creamers for my coffee.
Danielle slamming Calgary and Edmonton single use bylaw.
Have I mentioned today how much I like Danielle?
Someone posted on reddit the people who voted for this. The results were not surprising
For: (10) Councillor Carra, Councillor Demong, Mayor Gondek, Councillor Spencer, Councillor Walcott, Councillor Pootmans, Councillor Mian, Councillor Penner, Councillor Wong, and Councillor Dhaliwal
Against: (4) Councillor Chu, Councillor McLean, Councillor Wyness, and Councillor Chabot

So why do we hate on Chu? He voted against this shit and property tax increase. 2 things that matters to me...

Because he's bad. Very bad man. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
