The bylaw mostly pertains to that of fast food drive through services since there is so much 1 time use crap there. But don't kid yourself if you don't think businesses will slide the costs into your bill somewhere if you dine in or order from somewhere.

the businesses dont even care to charge it, they already have that cost built in to your cost, the point of this is to bring it out and make it more transparent (and inflated) so they will be used less.

Was told drive thru lines are now a shit show. Instead handing off in a bag or 2, people who refuse to pay for bag is now handed all the food in a tray and they have to retrieve it item by item. Wasting everyone's time idling their cars.

Bags were already given out for "free" the past 50 years, until just recently. The cost was worked into the price of the product already. But it's almost $4 for a Mcdouble nowadays. They've well worked in some healthy profits for themselves regardless of any bag laws.
