Default Attic rain recommendations for a contractor

I been getting attic rain i used roof hospital for 2 times and still having the same issues. They have installed more venting on the roof, sealed the attic door also added some extra fluff insolation. Now I got some more water marks on my master bedroom ceiling. If any one can recommended a good contractor so I don't have to deal with this next year. Thank you

That's about all anyone should need to do... Do you know if they ensured your ventilated soffits are not obstructed by excess insulation?

no recommendations other than it sounds like your vapour barrier might be the issue.

How much blown in insulation did they add? Was it just over your master bedroom?

You might have drafts in the attic blowing the insulation causing thin spots.
The solution would be to check/replace your attic baffles.

Did they check the exhaust fan from your bathroom is all hooked up correctly and not leaking into the attic?

    Roof hospital is useless.

sealing the attic door was good, but adding more vents and insulations is useless if you are not addressing the leak in your vapour barrier that is allowing humid warm air into the attic. They need to find where there is a hole in your vapour barrier. The other problem as mentioned above would be your bathroom exhaust fans leaking into the attic.

That's probably a good point. Yes, there has been a radical shift in the weather but it's taken more than a week so I wouldn't think that is the type of unavoidable attic rain where the attic is still super freezing while the natural outside air becomes warm and moist.
There must be an air leak

For troubleshooting it you could get a company to do a door blower test to measure leakage then check with a thermal imagine gun. In this weather it should be easy to see the cold spots coming down from the attic

Yep, good call, door blower and air leak finding is a great next step.

I don’t, they did it during my greener homes grant initial inspection and the guy found a few of my outlets were punched up into the attic and run that way so had drafts coming from those outlets. Made me think of it here.

Aren't those tests done by pressurizing the building envelope rather than pressurizing the attic? The way ExtraSlow described it sounded the reverse.

Dryer on upper floor? Ours wasn't secure very well upon purchase, home inspector noted it and we got it replaced and totally sealed up.

Bathroom fan vents could be leaking if not perfectly sealed as well.

This is pretty common. I had about a 2" hole in my attic that was pushing out air so fast it blew the insulation off around it. I got firesafe foam and sealed it up along with a couple of others. Made the attic dead still. They cut right through the VB as well. Thanks construction people.

It could be the other way around, it was a couple years back when the program first started.

I'm sure you coumd run the fan in either direction, but I though they sucked on the door, not blow.

Fuck. That's pretty obviously what they do. I was stuck on it being a blower so suddenly I'm picturing the awkwardness of trying to plug the attic vents while pressurizing the attic like a complete Spanish MP...
They must pick a door or window and then introduce a vacuum.
