Question. Isn’t Magneride supposed to be awesome? Like one of the better parts of those vehicles?

Why are people so eager to use something else?

Back before IRS full size SUV’s it made equipped vehicles ride the best. And to be clear, I replaced Magnaride with a non-GM active, magnefluid-whatever filled shock. Ironically, I think all the shocks are made in the same factory (BMI - which is Chinese operation who bought up a bunch of Delphi in 2016).

The reason they blow out so soon isn't because of vehicle weight, it's because they are Magnaride. The oil is literally full of small metal particles. They wear out from the constant friction of the metal particles and the seal. It's been a problem since Maganaride began.
