I already touched on this previously. People putting pronouns in their email signatures is their passive aggressive way of saying "Please address me like this when you send an email to me" and makes people have to sit and think and worry about typing the wrong thing in the email in case it triggers that person.

why would you have to worry? It is a clear direction on how you'd address them. There is zero worry required. Also when was the last time you wrote 'she' or 'her' in an email to that person?
Getting frustrated by this stuff is just old men yelling at clouds. There is zero affect to your day to day and get riled up by someone's signature is such a waste of energy.

Not always, sometimes people put them in their signature because they feel pressured to, or have been told to. I don't have a big enough ego to care all that much.

With that said, there are people I correspond with that I wouldn't dare put pronouns in my signature because it would trigger them.

For the record, I think pronouns, sexuality, etc. have no place in the work environment.

That being said, of course you have to re-think how you act at work - that's got nothing to do with this topic though. I can't think of a single person in the white collar world that is their 100% unfiltered true self at work. It would be career suicide for almost everyone out there if they acted like they do with their buddies on the weekend, at the office with their boss. Being situationally aware and governing yourself accordingly is just something you need to do in society - it's just this topic that for some reason has wringing their hands.
