The 20 seconds felt good but considering that he has gotten away with it more often than he's not, I don't think it will have an impact on his behaviour. He will keep driving dirty. Fuckin ended up wining a whole championship doing it and nothing happened so why would he stop now.

He still arguably cost Lando more points than he lost himself - especially if Leclerc hadn't lost it near the end.

Shitty with the inconsistencies but at least something was done with the shenanigans. Same pass as Austin in turn 8 finally gets penalized with a published rule. Not even one of the passing clarifications. Specifically Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2b of the International Sporting Code: A driver may not leave the track without justifiable reason. That could’ve been easily used in Austin.

On the bright side drivers in Mexico complained to FIA with a wtf, and they have decided that all the rules of engagement clarifications will be reworked and published in the ISC for next year. Here’s hoping it gets enforced properly.

A little too late. Pretty pathetic that a 3x WDC drives like K-Mag. Vettel has been the worst of the multi WDCs but Max is definitely making a case for himself.

Hard to defend Max on this race. Ridiculous driving.

I heard Steiner mention on an interview that there are different stewards assigned for different races (not sure if they change or rotate some out race to race), but if this is true, shouldn't there be a locked-in set of FIA stewards for the season to help with consistency in proper application and interpretation of the rules? Seems weird that they change every time if consistency is a recurring problem.

Isn't it kept random so you couldn't buy them out/bribe?

I admit I expected that race to be boring (it's Mexico) but it ended up being a banger! Max-Lando drama, recovery drives, Lawson-Perez beef, Lawson-Colapinto beef, a mandatory Yuki crash, Mercedes existing, the backmarkers collectively teabagging Aston, it had it all.

Definitely seeing the Mad Max you all talked about forever coming out, but I have to admit I find all the drama super entertaining!

I am not sure if Perez bring in enough sponsors to cover that loss in prize $.

Won't be surprised if there's an out clause in Perez' contract for 2025+ and Lawson comes in.

Ya I agree Perez isn’t going to be there next year. They have yukiat Dubai doing a test run I think, but Lawson seems the better choice. Rumors of Franco getting a seat are circulating too.

Franco rumors were for a seat in VCARB. An RBR seat at this stage in his career would be way out of reach still.

Yuki's RB test is just to keep Honda happy. He's never getting a seat on the big team.

Yup. Lawson has already shown he got more promise than Yuki and Yuki is now feeling the heat and fucking up again. Perez's seat is Lawson's.

Yes I believe that was the rumor, it got shut down by Helmet but normally there is something going on to create the rumor

It seems Hadjar is next in line if Lawson or Yuki were to move up. How long does Max stay as well, he seems to be really not in the mood these days. Probably due to the fact he can't win easily anymore hes turning back to his roots of aggresive driving, hopefully nobody gets hurt.
