Newey leaving Redbull lines up pretty close to the downfall of Verstappen.

Well if Horner said the problem started in 2023, Newey could also be the problem.

Ah the ol' put the blame on the person leaving the company trick to deflect any blame from the current leadership team.

    I like it.

If they're correlation issues, as seems to be the main storyline, then I can see Newey leaving - not necessarily because he was wrong but because he was working with tools that would make him wrong.

I can see Ver go to Aston to follow the same people, engine that made him successful last few years.

They'd need to have a PPV Lawrence vs. Jos cage match to sort out the egos.

Yea, it was a fun Quali session to watch.

After the start I expect the race to be a bit of a DRS train but who knows - could be some fun tire strategies between those who start on the Mediums and Hards.

Fuck DR. Don’t feel bad for him probably losing his seat after this race.

Lando was so much faster than everyone. Boring fucking race but if it makes things spicy at the end of the calendar, I'm here for it.

The fuck was that strategy starting Lewis on the softs? It really feels like Mercedes is working against him.

Honestly initially I thought all this talk about Merc sabotaging Lewis was BS and conspiracy theories but I am starting to believe it with all the fucking nonsense they keep putting him through, which plain as day stupid to everyone but them.

I still don't think Lando is going to be able to pass Max. Lando is just not consistent enough to win every single race from here and even if he does, I feel Max is consistent enough to land at least P2 from here on out. Unless something exceptional happens and Max DNF's or something it's going to be hard.

I don’t buy into the theory that Mercedes is sabotaging Lewis. Are they starting to favor GRl? Yes, but that is understandable.

I think the call to start him on the soft tires was the right decision. I'm sure they made that choice believing he would be able to gain a position or two. Also, Mercedes (and all teams, for that matter) were banking on a safety car. Had that happened, it would have worked in their favor. Mercedes doesn’t have the fastest car, so they need to take strategic risks, and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
