Too bad for Danny not getting a point, I think he still had a pit stop to go and probably would have lost it anyway but he was driving pretty good.
Definitely feel bad for Bottas as well - he was looking great compared to usual.

I wouldn't have any sympathy for Stroll except I think people are being extra harsh on him - it was really Alonso's fault for the lockup but I think they were all preparing to launch around the hairpin to get back underway and everyone was a bit caught out... Stroll was just the unlucky one in the chain who ended up getting stuck with the tab.

F5 season is back! Wonder if he really did decide to go work with Lewis at SF.

    That will be a dream.
There are multiple rumors. Ferrari , AM and couple of days ago Damon Hill mentioned Mclaren

McLaren would certainly be a bolt from the blue. AM apparently made him a massive offer, will be very interesting to see where/when he ends up, assuming he's not just retiring.

That's awesome. We will see how good RBR is when they don't have the master working on their cars anymore. Though I think they are probably set for this design era already based on all the work he's already done for their car.

That would be absolutely unreal if it ends up happening.

I don't think Money will be an issue for Ferrari. in the past he had openly talked about getting a chance to work with Lewis.
Biggest issue for Ferrari is the Factory. He doesn't want to move to Italy.

Yep, I think that's part of what makes the AM offer attractive - even if money isn't his primary concern, (and the rumoured $25Mx4yrs is a LOT of money) AM being headquartered in Silverstone may be more amenable to him. He's also previously said he'd like to work with Alonso.

Well is it true or not....like is it official? Seeing some articles stating that Red Bull indicates they are not aware of any communication from Newey indicating that he is leaving.

Newey has contract till end of 2025. Even if he wanted to go somewhere for 2026, he would have to figure out a way to get out of his contract early to start Gardening leave before the 2026 season. I don't see this progressing to anything more than rumor until mid 2025.

Apparently he already has a second home in South Africa and has been working from home a lot as it is.

I'm not sure about British tax laws anymore but I used to work with a lot of guys who just had to abide by a "90 day rule" where as long as they were out of country for more than 275 days per year they didn't pay tax on their international income so perhaps he'd still spend the same amount of time in the UK.

I feel gutted for Sainz. Dude is completely set-up to be competing for the WDC in the future but instead he'll probably end up struggling to get into Q3 with Zhou.

    Nothing is official.
The picture is really muddy IMO.

I wouldn't say real muddy, when there are quite a few "trusted" publications indicating that he's leaving. BBC goes as far to say they fact checked this against their sources in RBR. Where he goes, or if he retires is what is muddy.

Hulkenberg to Sauber/Audi now officially official. Bet they are also pressing Sainz hard to sign a contract with them before anything dramatic potentially happens at Red Bull. Bearman the presumed replacement in the Haas seat, provided he doesn't completely bottle the F2 season.

That would potentially leave Bottas and Zhou in the lurch. Would Bottas take a one-year deal as Antonelli's seatwarmer at Mercedes? Or perhaps Haas offers him a longer contract to replace Kmag.
