So apparently Gasly's Alpine blew up because he got caught in a Tsunoda slipstream and it over-revved the engine on the straight LMAO.

Don’t they have protection against that?? I thought it would have been more turning the power up for qualifying and see how long it lasts in the race.
I don't think I've ever seen a race be both that boring and also that much of an unmitigated shitshow.
Didn't even watch it...maybe Ham getting shit is a good thing for me cause I don't have to feel glued to the TV on race weekend's. If he retires soon, I can likely quit F1 more or less I feel. It's been a good run since 2005-2008.
Driver of the day is penalty
Landos penalty was frustrating. If you watch the in car, the yellow light turned on trackside maybe 2 frames before lando passed it. A little bit further down, you see a worker waving a yellow flag on the side, in front of a green light, with nothing on the track. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. It was even crazier from a track notification perspective. As max started lap 30, it went yellow for 8s, then to green. Then yellow for 2s, green 2s, another yellow 2s, green 2s, once more yellow 2s then finally green for good with zero activity there. Def an easy one to miss depending when you drove thru it. What’s even more hilarious is max actually didn’t even have a yellow light (it turned on after he drove thru), he saw the waving yellow flags last minute, drove thru that but backed off at the green light.
10 second stop and go was just wtf. Last time that happened was I think when vettel rammed Hamilton under safety car lol. This missed yellow was definitely comparable to that lol.

Yea really didn't get why 10 seconds. Seems so harsh and effectively ruined Lando's race. Potentially cost McLaren the championship depending on what happens in AD.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chaos. The F2 race was nuts as well. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
MBS is on his way to destroying the sport - so much drama surrounding him now.
For the lego fans there are 2 more F1 technic models being launched next year that are now available for pre-order. This time it's a Red Bull and Ferrari.

Ocon out of Alpine ones not get to race the last race… ham wishes it would happen to him… Perez has his head up his ass and does not believe it will happen to him …
Senna on Netflix is out.

Episode 3, pretty good so far. Glad it's a limited series. I'd hate bingeing on a show only to wait 1-2 years for a second season. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

There is also a Senna documentary which is about the show. Probably better to watch the show before the documentary.
The Ocon/Alpine split is pretty fucked and so typically Renault/Alpine.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
In mid-November, Alpine gave Ocon/Haas the OK for him to do the post-season test. Last weekend, Alpine reneged on that and told Ocon he could either do the test or race for them in Abu Dhabi. He already had a special Alpine tribute helmet made for the race plastered in huge Alpine logos as a tribute to the team. Alpine pulled the rug on him and won't even let him visit the factory to say goodbye to the team. Sounds like Briatore wants Doohan in the seat this weekend so he can decide whether to dump him for Colapinto.
This is very much a Briatore thing. Him coming back into F1 after all these years is probably the best thing for entertainment value. If Ecclestone wasn't so old I would say him getting a stake in one of the teams would be just as interesting. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Oh yeah, this is 100% the Briatore Team Management Experience. If Danica wants to find soulless lizard people, she should start with ol' Flavio.
Ecclestone's lack of ownership involvement probably has to do with him desperately needing money to pay his enormous tax evasion bill.
Binged it last night and today. Basically an expanded version of the Senna documentary that was out a few years ago. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Amazing to see the historic cars in its original livery in 4K (even tho it was a lot of CGI). Just to see Marlboro McLaren with BOSS, Honda, old school TAG Heuer and of course Marlboro branding was just fucking amazing. Rothmans as well at Williams.
As the story was vetted out by the family, even tho they made sure they showed his girlfriends/wife, they again ignored the 4 year relationship with the 15 year old haha. They also glossed over his last girlfriend as the family hated her IRL. Also weird they put in this random reporter woman. Not sure how it helped the story, as she was the one interviewing him about crashing instead of Jackie Stewart.
All in all, a decent watch, nothing new that we didn't know, relatively accurate, and tons of historical clips recreated in 4K. Prost and Balestre the villains as per every single version of the story told, with him and Prost being friends after Prost retired in 94. Solid.

Mercedes released four special limited-edition posters for Lewis's last dance with the team.
My wallet feels a bit lighter this morning—I ended up buying all of them, plus a few more helmets!
Nice little Video from Merc

Max vs George was not the drama I expected this weekend, but boy howdy have they been slinging shit at each other.
Meanwhile, Sergio Perez: ‘I’ve got a contract, and I will be driving for Red Bull next year’. That's a rather confident statement...
