    British Superbikes Round 5 Snetterton

My guy fucked up and uploaded race 2 from Knockhill rather than this week's race. The race was red flagged when Louis Valleley's bike caught fire and then it started to rain. The race was restarted over 5 laps like Saturday, with Glenn Irwin winning, Tommy Bridewell 2nd, Christian Iddon 3rd, Kyle Ryde 4th and Andrew Irwin 5th.

Race 3 was dry and went the full distance. Glenn Irwin won his second of the day under a lot of pressure from Tommy Bridewell. Bridewell had a chance at him on the last lap but they raced each other clean and he had to settle for 2nd. Christian Iddon was 3rd, Danny Kent 4th and Kyle Ryde 5th.

The broadcast of this was kind of a mess this year. They used to stream it free on youtube but this year they made it a pay-for thing. It was 20 Euros for all races live and on-demand, but Sunday's schedule was altered due to rain and the IRRC races haven't been uploaded yet. The commentary was done by two Finns and was split between Finnish and English so it was hard to follow at times.

I'm done trying to find racing pictures, so imagine bikes racing on a track through the forest and a straightaway with a lake on one side and no retaining wall.

    Southern 100

Qualifying began yesterday but was quickly shut down. A crash in the newcomer's session sent 2 riders to hospital, and the rest of the qualifying was stopped because the hospital was at capacity. Qualifying continued today and the first 2 of 15 races were ran.

Michael Dunlop was leading the Senior Race when it was red flagged on lap 4 of 6. Jamie Coward was 2nd, Davey Todd 3rd, Dean Harrison 4th and Mike Browne 5th.

The Lightweight race went after, starting at 9pm local time which I'll say seems fuckin late. Look how dark it is in the picture. Rob Hodson was the winner, followed by Jamie Coward, Davey Todd, Mike Browne and Michael Sweeney.

It would be cool if the Southern 100 was broadcast like the TT or Imatra are, but so far it's not. I'm just glad it's running at all after what happened last year.

World Superbike - Prosecco DOC UK Round

Another sweep for Toprak Razgatlioglu as he's well on his way to winning BMW's first WSBK championship.

Race 1 was an 11.384 second victory over Alex Lowes, a margin almost unheard of in WSBK these days. Alvaro Bautista recovered from 11th to finish 3rd as he continues to struggle with the new regulations on the Ducati, and further questions whether he'll retire at the end of the year. Nicolo Bulega finished 4th and Jonathan Rea had his best finish of the season, looking like they're finally getting the Yamaha figured out, in 5th.

The Superpole race was another dominant performace from Razgatlioglu, 4.826 seconds ahead of Bulega. Rea was on the podium for the first time. Scott Redding had a great weekend other than a mechanical failure in race 1 and finished 4th ahead of Lowes.

Race 2 was more of the same. Bulega was 8.062 seconds behind Razgatlioglu. Lowes, Redding and Bautista complete the top 5.

    MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest at Monterey

Cameron Beaubier is back and competitive after that injury at Road America. Cameron Petersen jumped the start and was given a 5 second penalty, dropping him down to 7th or so despite being 3rd on the track. Josh Herrin didn't seem to know that Petersen had the penalty as the two lost a lot of time fucking around with each other when Herrin should have just let him go and tucked in behind him. That was enough for Beaubier to win. Herrin finished 2nd. Petersen was able to race his way back to 3rd. Sean Dylan Kelly, who also jumped the start, finished 4th and Jake Gagne finished 5th.

    Name: Beaubier Laguna Seca 1.jpg

Herrin had to ride defensively for about 10 laps was did enough to hold off Beaubier in race 2. Kelly was 3rd, Bobby Fong 4th and Gagne 5th. With a month off until the next race, Gagne will go for surgery to fix the arm pump problems he's been having all season. And Richie Escalante should be back after being out since Road Atlanta.

    World Superbike Czech Round

Another sweep by Toprak Razgatlioglu, the third in a row I think? He's like Alvaro Bautista was last year where he just wins every race. Race 1 was Danilo Petrucci in 2nd, Andrea Iannone in 3rd, Bautista in 4th and Remy Gardner in 5th. The Superpole race was Razgatlioglu ahead of Nicolo Bulega, Alex Lowes, Petrucci and Gardner. Bautista crashed out with 2 laps to go. Razgatlioglu finished the weekend winning race 2, followed by Bulega, Andrea Locatelli, Gardner and Michael van der Mark. Bautista was caught up in a crash into turn 1 on lap 1 with Petrucci, capping off an awful weekend. Gardner was riding great all weekend, hopefully he can keep that up. Maybe he got some pep in his step after his MotoGP appearance a couple weeks ago.

British Superbikes Round 6 Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch is a great little track that usually gives really good racing, but somehow Ryan Vickers had another gear that none of the others had. He won with a margin of 7.334 seconds which just doesn't happen in BSB. Tommy Bridewell was 2nd, Andrew Irwin was 3rd, Glenn Irwin was 4th and Christian Iddon was 5th. In race 2, Vickers won a 5 lap sprint after the race was red flagged for a crash by Luke Hedger. The safety car had been deployed earlier in the race for a crash involving Glenn Irwin, Danny Kent and Danny Buchan. Behind Vickers were Bridewell, Kyle Ryde, Andrew Irwin and Leon Haslam. Race 3 was another win for Vickers, followed by Iddon, Ryde, Bridewell and Andrew Irwin.

It was a good weekend for Andy Irwin with 3 top 5s, and he was racing a lot more aggressively than he has been in the last few years. I think it was 2021 when Andy and Glenn Irwin were riding for Honda on black Fireblades, and Andy was lights out but got suspended for being a bull in a china shop, and after that he kind of vanished. This weekend he had his elbows out and got some good results for his efforts. It's probably helping that Honda is getting better and better as the year goes on too.
