With 2x captain chair. Decent looking. Can't see it fit more than 6 ppl even if a 3rd row exists.

Alphards seem to have a bit of a cult following

    I personally prefer the Elysion

Its kinda the popular people mover in Asia. A lot of them are driven by chauffeur for baller families, celebrities, companies etc. I mean, it is cool, but 15 year old tech is still 15 year old tech. and It isnt exactly big inside...

This is how i see them too, you'd need to be a fanboy to own one really

I have seen them decked out in that VIP style, drinks trays, recliners et al, but i can't imagine it would be any more comfortable or quiet than a 2010 Sienna?

I have had plenty of rhd vehicles, maybe 20-25. I also have owned an mnh10 alphard that was on tein coilovers, was a pretty fun vehicle.

I’d do a stepwagon if I was doing it and were you. I’d also import and not pay the already in Canada tax . They are cheap and plentiful. Odyssey absolute is also a good one . They’re Awd and parts are easy to source albeit they may be far away.

I’m currently dailying a Toyota bb open deck version which is very comparable to the Scion xb but is the truck version from Japan . It’s nice to be able to get some parts from here as well.

While rhd takes a bit more attention, I’m not sure why it gets such negative attention anymore . Always seems to be the same guys throwing shade at it in the forum . Sounds like a good choice for you!

assuming a local market vehicle or equivalent chassis exists, how difficult is a RHD to LHD conversion?

Harder than finding that local market equivalent and swapping in whatever attracted you to the JDM vehicle in the first place (engine, seats, cosmetic etc)

    stiffened chassis

I more meant if the likes of a Caldina (GT-Four chassis, different body) got a Celica dash etc swapped in (mostly fits)

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Did anyone ever figure out what "lifestyle" means? Or if its a common term can someone please explain it to us dummies.

They care more about what people think of them than the function of the vehicle.

Google images says lifestyle is a lot of outdoor yoga and jogging. I didn't see any Dodge vans converted to racecars. I did see this, which would turn me off of BMWs for a while:

At first I thought it was a hat, but now I think it might be a Kid n Play haircut.

That's a perfect shot of the instant before she spit in your kid's face.

It’s what they call swinging these days. Letting other guys bone your wife, etc.

Upsidedown pineapples isn't a cake, well at least not at my campground.

Anyways, the RB2 with the K24a motor in AWD seems to be a pretty popular vehicle with alot of 'crossover' parts, while things like windshields and struts may be harder, but still not bad on the supply chain front. As I understand these Odysseys, Stepwagon and Toyota Alphards are quick movers in Australia, UK and Canada front (esp. Vancouver)

My kids are young and light, but the payload I'd imagine starts adding up with skis, luggage, and hockey bags. Its nothing I notice with a half ton, but these things being about 3500 curb weight, may be a chore for a 4banger... but I've also heard its not bad as well.

These things really are fast movers on the lot or on private sale, so guessing I NEED to make up my mind sooner or later. MAYBE an Alphard with the venerable 3.0 3MZ - would be more ideal, but then you're already getting to into the domestic used territory for Minivans anyhow.
