Speaking of Ben Hogan, I just upgraded my irons to a set of Hogan Apex Edge Pro's. Really liking them so far.

A handful of courses are opening this week. Not just the ones you'd expect either.

Went for a putter fitting for the first time in my life.
Replaced the putter I've been using since I was 13 with this.
First round of the year tomorrow!

Is that mostly just a custom length?

Trying to decide if I bring sticks on my trip tomorrow or just rent.

No its a standard 35" putter.

Grip, head (weight), and double bend hosel, and of course feel were the main items we looked at during the fitting.

How many rounds do you plan on playing?
If it were me, <= 1 round - Rent, 2+ rounds - Bring my own

They should be looking at the arc of your swing, lie and loft of your delivery. Arc will indicate how much toe hang you want, lie/loft/length to ensure you deliver the face to promote the best roll and more consistency. In short, if you are an avid golfer, putter fitting is just as important as the other clubs.

    ^^^ That.
The fitter made me almost feel negligent not having a putter fitting before! Lol

He also made a good point that the putter is by far the most used club in the bag and should be fit to your swing style.
I'm ready to 1-putt all year now.

Just buy all the putters and rotate when one misbehaves.

Played my first round of the season last night, was great to get out!
Shot an 85 at Apple Creek.
The wind started absolutely howling on the 10th hole.

Driver was on point, averaged ~325 off the tee according to my gps.
Ended up driving the green on 18, 343 yds with 310yds required to carry the creek, wind was somewhat in my favour.
Proceeded to three putt for par

Putter, needs a lot of work. The mallet is much heavier than my old putter, rolled many past the cup.
