XC60 Recharge/PHEV would fit that bill (455hp, mid-size seats 4, somewhat understated in looks and handsome interior, decently reliable but more recent models have had their quirks and bugs...seemingly more-so than pre-2021s). Probably wouldn't be top of my list right now, but it's a decent ride if it tickles your fancy (but frankly I think there are a few competing models out there that are a bit nicer - C4S already mentioned the new RX).

Macan GTS is the only other option I'd consider aside from the BMW.

    Drive both?
Don't think you can go wrong either way.
Macan GTS will be well over 100K.
I did the same song and dance sometime back. Ended up with Macan. Quite Happy with it.

    He said something reliable
Given the passive aggressive post in the previous thread, I'm actually surprised you didn't mention a Nissan Rogue.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

GLC got neutered with a full 4 cyclinder line up. Get your X3M40i now before BMW pulls the same shit and make it I4 hybrid.

    Neutered to 670hp…

The reviews for the glc63 has been all positive. Odd because the c63 with the exact same drivetrain has been all negative. Guessing it being an SUV makes v8 vs i4 less of a factor when 670hp in a small suv is just hilariously fun.

And driving dynamics of a >5000lb boat are more acceptable in a small suv than in a small sedan.
